The Half-day Tag-Along Tour is both educational and informative. You will begin the tour by meeting your guide at the Cathedral Fig Tree, where you will receive an introduction and welcome followed by a tour briefing, then simply follow the tour in the comfort of your own private vehicle. 

You will then explore each destination while receiving a unique insight into the history, lifestyles, and culture of the Tableland Yidinji and Mbabaram peoples. Some destinations will include short walks.


You will travel approximately 130kms during the tour so ensure you have enough fuel.


The locations you will visit include:

- The Cathedral Fig Tree at Danbulla National Park (includes a short walk 200m return).

- Lake Barrine to see the Giant Kauri Pines (includes a short walk 100m return).

- Halloran's Hill lookout.

- Hastie's Swamp for bird-viewing.

-The Watsonville Culture Park. This is where we will conduct activities such as:

   -A bush tucker walk (up to 1km return).

   -A traditional painting workshop (keep your artwork).

   -Spear-throwing lessons.

   -Didgeridoo demonstration.

   -and campfire cooking.

It's also where our family live in our off-grid homes in the bush. You may also get to meet some of our family members and see what Indigenous living is really like today.


This tour also includes a light lunch at the Watsonville Culture Park. This will include freshly made damper and lemon myrtle cake, a delicious fruit platter, tea and coffee.

Vegan and gluten free options are available.


Accessibility:

-Each component of the tour is wheelchair accessible.

-2WD, 4WD, Campervan friendly (no caravans sorry).

-Toilets available at each location except the Cathedral Fig Tree.


What to bring:

- Enough fuel to cover 130kms.

-Weather appropriate clothing (light rain is common in the rainforest).

-Water to keep you hydrated throughout the day.


Group tours:

This tour can be booked as a private group tour, perfect for school and corporate groups.

-A minimum of 10 participants are required to operate a private group tour.

-We can tailor the tour to the specific interests of your group.

-Your group must provide it's own transport.

-Group camping options available as well.
